We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented test and processing engineer to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in manufacturing and testing our spectral sensor and modules, a key element for our material sensing analyzers. As a Test Processing Engineer, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of spectral sensor fabrication, from chip microfabrication in a cleanroom environment to module assembly and testing. Your responsibilities will include executing production processes to ensure our technology meets the highest quality standards. Additionally, this role involves performing regular testing procedures, troubleshooting on technical equipment to ensure optimal performance of our devices to meet specifications.

Key Responsibilities

As a Test Processing Engineer, you will be doing the following activities:

  • Operations: execute microfabrication processes in a cleanroom, working with semiconductor equipment for tasks like lithography and deposition.
  • Sample handling, measurements, electrical and optical characterization at chip and module level.
  • Data management: Record accurate measurement data, perform basic analysis, and ensure data integrity using phyton or Matlab scripts.
  • Maintain strict quality control by following pre-defined procedures, conducting inspections, and critically evaluating each process and testing steps.
  • 360 degrees R&D support; assist the team in improving products and technology.

Requirements

  • Minimum HBO or Master’s degree in a technical field.
  • Have a maker and problem solving mentality, being familiar with electronics and basic programming.
  • Experience or interest in cleanroom environments, semiconductor technology, and/or photonics is a plus. Previous experience handling chemicals or working in a cleanroom is advantageous in similar fields.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Practical, hands-on skills, with good planning and organizational capabilities.
  • Basic knowledge of data analysis/processing using Python or Matlab.
  • A fast learner with the ability to think critically and notice inconsistencies in the fabrication or testing process.
  • Proficient in English; Dutch is optional.
  • Driving license is beneficial, to drive between different cleanroom locations.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is capable of contributing to the process and testing through critical thinking and electro-optical characterization. You will follow well-defined steps but also need to think along and contribute to process and test optimization and related activities. Your work will involve independent tasks as well as collaboration with our R&D team to ensure the highest quality in fabrication and testing.
