Project: Exploration of Vital Sign and Biomarker Measurement Using the NibbleBeat Dev-Kit
MantiSpectra is expanding its sensing capabilities beyond material analysis toward physiological and biomedical applications. The NibbleBeat development kit is a compact sensing platform designed to explore non-invasive optical measurements of vital signs and physiological parameters.
In this project, you will investigate the feasibility of using the NibbleBeat dev-kit for vital sign monitoring, with a primary focus on capturing parameters such as heart rate and heart rate variability, and exploring the potential to extract additional biomarker-related information.
Your work will involve designing and executing measurement experiments, collecting time-series sensor data, and applying signal processing and data analysis techniques to extract physiological signals from raw measurements. You will assess signal quality, noise sources, and robustness across different measurement conditions, and benchmark performance against reference methods where applicable.
This exploratory project combines experimental sensing, algorithm development, and physiological data interpretation. It offers hands-on experience at the intersection of optical sensing, biomedical signal processing, and early-stage technology exploration, contributing to the evaluation of new application directions for MantiSpectra’s sensor platforms.
