Company Overview: MicroAlign is a company dedicated to developing next generation of Photonic connectivity in the field of Photonic Quantum Computing. We are committed to pushing the boundaries of photonics packaging technologies to enable scalable optical networks with revolutionary impact on the society.

Job Description: MicroAlign is developing revolutionary technology capable of aligning multiple optical fibers within fiber arrays, independently and simultaneously. We are looking for a Technical Sales profile who will be responsible for driving our fiber array sales development and expanding the company’s global customer base. The Sales profile will play a pivotal role in executing sales strategies, building customer relationships, and expanding our revenue prospects. The ideal candidate needs to be capable of understanding the basics of photonic integration, optics, quantum computing, and data communication.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Develop the relationship with new customers and market segments within the photonics industry, including quantum, datacom, telecommunications, sensing, aerospace, and defense.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while actively prospecting and acquiring new accounts.
  3. Assess market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
  4. Prepare and present sales proposals, quotations, and product demonstrations to potential customers.
  5. Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates to management.
  6. Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote brand awareness and generate leads.
  7. Stay up-to-date about the latest advancements in photonics technology and industry trends to effectively communicate the value proposition of our products and solutions.

Qualifications & skills:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. MBA or equivalent qualification is a plus.
  2. Proven track record of success in past sales experience.
  3. A basic understanding of the photonics market, customer dynamics, and industry trends.
  4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers at all levels.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  6. Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
