Morphotonics builds industrial nanoimprint lithography machines: the technology enabling the mass adoption of augmented reality glasses, optical films for next-generation consumer electronics, and AI device infrastructure. Our systems are complex, multimodular, and cutting edge. Bringing them from concept to a customer site anywhere in the world requires coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams, a network of specialized partners and suppliers, and stakeholders across the business who all have a stake in the outcome. The customer is always at the end of the line, and they expect a machine that works, on time, and to specification. As we scale, we are expanding our project management capacity to ensure our development projects are delivered with the control, predictability, and decisiveness that our customers and the market demand.

We are looking for a senior project manager who has done this before at the highest level of complexity. Someone who walks into a room and commands it, who reads a project status in minutes, who knows when to push and when to escalate. Someone who is not afraid to tell the management team exactly what they need to hear.

What you will do

• Own project delivery end to end. Take full responsibility for scope, timeline, budget, and risk across complex multidisciplinary development projects. Define the plan, drive execution, and keep every stakeholder aligned to it.
• Manage a large and diverse engineering network. Our projects typically involve dozens of engineers spread across multiple specialized partners and suppliers. You will direct, coordinate, and hold accountable this network, ensuring that every party delivers on time, within budget, and to specification.
• Drive supplier performance. Push partners and suppliers to meet their commitments. Identify risks in their planning early, intervene decisively when needed, and escalate without hesitation when a partner is putting the project at risk.
• Control the timeline and budget with precision. Maintain a clear and current picture of project status at all times. Flag deviations early, propose corrective actions, and make the call on trade-offs between scope, time, and cost.
• Engage the management team directly and confidently. Report project status to the MT with clarity and without sugar-coating. When the project needs a decision or action from leadership, you ask for it explicitly and follow through on the outcome.
• Align a multidisciplinary team. Work daily with system engineers, software engineers, mechanical engineers, process development specialists, and business stakeholders. Translate between disciplines, resolve conflicts, and keep the team moving in the same direction.
• Be the face of Morphotonics at the customer. Our customers are spread across the globe, and visiting them is part of the job. You will manage expectations on delivery milestones, represent Morphotonics during on-site installations and commissioning, and be the person the customer trusts to give them an honest picture and a credible plan.

Project environment

• Systems: complex, multimodular high-tech mechatronic systems with hardware, software, and control system integration
• Methodology: V-model for system-level development, with Agile practices in the software team
• Partner and supplier base: multiple specialized partners and suppliers responsible for detailed design and manufacturing of subsystem modules
• Stakeholders: internal engineering teams, management team, external partners and suppliers, and international customers
• Team: approximately 10 engineers in the system development team, spanning mechanical, system, and software disciplines
• Context: scale-up environment with strong commercial traction and a growing international installed base

What you bring

• 6+ years of project management experience in high-tech machinery or comparable complex capital equipment development.
• A track record of delivering large, multidisciplinary projects on time and within budget, with full accountability for the outcome.
• Proven experience managing a broad network of partners, suppliers, and external engineering parties. You know how to get performance out of parties who are not on your payroll.
• The seniority and confidence to engage a management team as an equal. You present clearly, you escalate without hesitation, and you ask for what the project needs.
• Strong command of project planning, risk management, and budget control in a high-tech development context.
• The ability to read a technical situation quickly, even without deep domain expertise, and make sound judgments about risk and priority.
• Experience working within a V-model development environment or comparable structured engineering methodology.
• A natural authority that people follow because they trust your judgment, not because of your title.

Nice to have

• Background in precision machinery, semiconductor equipment, or industrial systems development
• Experience managing projects that span hardware, software, and system integration simultaneously
• Familiarity with international customer delivery and on-site commissioning
• Experience working in a scale-up or growth-phase organization where processes are still being defined
