This is how you make impact as a Service Desk and Local Support Specialist
As a Service Desk Specialist, you will be the cornerstone of our IT support team and the first point of contact for our users regarding IT-related questions. You’ll work closely with a team of enthusiastic professionals and report to the Service Desk Team Leader. Together, you ensure that our Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met, and customer satisfaction remains high.
Your daily responsibilities include
- Handling incoming calls, emails, and chats from users regarding technical or functional issues.
- Logging and following up on service requests in our ticketing system (Freshservice), prioritizing tickets based on impact, urgency, and business risks.
- Coordinating with 2nd and 3rd line support when needed.
- Assisting users with software applications and IT equipment.
- Performing basic configurations and installations of new hardware and software.
- Providing outstanding customer service with the team, striving for high customer satisfaction for both domestic and international colleagues.
- Carrying out local support activities at our locations in the Netherlands, including issuing and receiving hardware.
- Managing hardware inventory and identifying when new orders are needed.

Location:
We are hiring one specialist for our location in Leeuwarden and multiple colleagues for our sites in Son (near Eindhoven).

You’ll actively contribute to the team by collaborating and striving for shared success.
We also ask for:
- At least a completed vocational (MBO) Level 3/4 education in IT, IT support, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English (German is a plus).
- Analytical ability to quickly understand and solve problems.
- Flexibility to adapt to constant changes within the business.
- A proactive approach to resolving issues effectively and achieving positive results.
- Experience working in a service desk and local support capacity.
- Team spirit to collaborate with local and international support teams.
- A drive to continuously seek improvements, reduce costs, and work more efficiently.
