This is how you make impact as a Team Leader Service Desk and Local Support

As a Team Leader Service Desk, you are the cornerstone of our IT support team and the first point of contact for our users regarding IT-related questions. You will work closely with a team of enthusiastic professionals and report directly to the Manager of IT Operations. In this role, you coordinate the daily tasks of the team, monitor the progress of incidents and changes, and ensure that the SLA with the business is met.

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Managing incoming calls, emails, and chats with users about technical or functional issues alongside your team.
  • Logging and following up on service requests in our ticketing system, Freshservice, while prioritizing tickets based on business impact, urgency, and potential risks.
  • Liaising with 2nd and 3rd line support when necessary.
  • Assisting with the use of software applications and IT equipment.
  • Performing basic configurations and installations of new equipment and software.
  • Providing excellent customer service with your team and striving for high customer satisfaction among domestic and international colleagues.
  • Carrying out local support activities at our locations in the Netherlands, including issuing and receiving hardware.
  • Managing hardware inventory and signaling when new orders are needed.
  • Leading colleagues spread across multiple locations.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a comparable leadership role.
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English. German is a plus.

  • A proactive approach to handling tasks effectively with positive outcomes.
  • Experience working on a service desk and providing local support.
