This is how you make impact as a Supplier Account Manager

As a Supplier Account Manager, you will work within central procurement. This department handles central contracts for Neways and coordinates other contracts across the organization. It is also responsible for Neways’ procurement processes and methodologies.

You will oversee and manage relationships with key suppliers, ensuring they meet performance standards, negotiating contracts, and resolving delivery issues. Collaborating with internal teams, you align supply strategies with business objectives. Your role combines office-based work with regular travel to suppliers and production facilities.

Your daily responsibilities include

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, serving as the primary point of contact for all supplier-related matters.
  • Conducting regular reviews with suppliers to evaluate performance, discuss improvements, and resolve issues. You also conduct performance assessments and audits, taking corrective action when needed.
  • Negotiating terms and prices with suppliers to secure favorable agreements, ensuring contract compliance, and managing renewals or amendments while resolving disputes.
  • Collaborating with procurement, logistics, and production teams to ensure a seamless supply chain by managing inventory levels and ensuring timely material delivery.
  • Allocating the product portfolio to selected preferred suppliers in coordination with Category Managers.
  • Conducting market research to stay informed about industry trends and pricing, while monitoring global events and trends that could impact the supply chain.
  • Identifying potential risks in the supply chain and developing risk mitigation strategies, including implementing contingency plans when necessary to ensure business continuity.
  • Reporting on supplier performance, cost savings, and other key metrics while analyzing data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.

  • Extensive knowledge of supply chain management/ procuremnt software and Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Knowledge of industry standards and legal requirements.
