When an unexpected quality issue or complaint arises with an external customer, you ensure that it is resolved quickly and systematically. Your daily responsibilities include
In this role, you won’t be alone! You will work in a team of about 25 people and collaborate frequently with fellow Quality Engineers (responsible for Design, Supplier, and Customer Quality), Production, Process, and Test Engineers.
Your tasks include:
• Handling customer complaints and escalations
• Creating quality improvement plans for your customers
• Monitoring and reporting KPIs
• Initiating improvement activities and actively participating
• Guiding customer audits and providing follow-up

This is what you bring to the team
As a Customer Quality Engineer, you are customer-focused and confident. You ask the right, critical questions to get to the heart of the matter. You know how to communicate tactfully with both the internal organization and the customer. Additionally, it is important that you build on the customer relationship in your role. Naturally, you are persuasive, results-oriented, and proactive in driving improvements. You can easily establish and maintain contacts, both internally and externally.
Additionally, we ask the following from you as a Customer Quality Engineer:
- A completed HBO or WO degree in a technical field
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 standards and experience with methodologies such as PPAP/FMEA/8D, etc.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably as a Quality Engineer
- Experience in the automotive, semiconductor, or medical industry is preferred
- Strong command of both Dutch and English. German is a plus.
