Here’s how you make an impact
Together with the Unit Manager and the other Team Leaders, you are the face of the shop floor, and you lead the Warehouse department. On a daily basis, you coordinate with your team to determine the priorities they need to focus on in their work. You are concerned with both today and tomorrow. You follow established structures such as continuous improvement and 6S, and you are also capable of initiating improvement initiatives in collaboration with other departments.
Every day, you work with your team to ensure timely deliveries. You set KPIs (based on QLTC) to monitor the department’s performance and use these KPIs to steer attention where the organization needs it most. Additionally, you will work based on a multi-year plan (structured planning) to take the department to the next level through process, method, and product optimization. You closely monitor the required capacity and align regularly with the Unit Manager.
Furthermore, you regularly engage in discussions with your direct reports to support their development. You work a day shift and are responsible for a team of approximately 12 employees.

Demonstrable HBO (higher professional education) level of working and thinking
A coaching leadership style and excellent communication skills, enabling you to coach and further develop employees
Experience in developing an operational department based on Lean principles
Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of logistics processes, allowing you to identify improvement opportunities and translate them into concrete actions
You are confident and assertive when it comes to leadership
You have sufficient knowledge of Excel, can independently analyze data, and translate it into clear KPIs
Your daily responsibilities include

Personnel matters such as onboarding, internal mobility, and offboarding; coaching; conducting team sessions to improve collaboration; solving issues together with HR; preparing and conducting performance reviews; and managing absenteeism

Daily planning of order picking, timely processing and storage of incoming goods, and timely packaging and shipping of customer products

Timely identifying problems and issues, and anticipating them in coordination with the production team

Creating connection between people, fostering collaboration between departments, and helping to develop a helicopter view so that bottlenecks within the department are identified

Further developing the department in the area of POENK and proactively managing developments within the teams

Further developing the department in operational excellence and visual management

Staying connected with other departments within the production environment
