As a Process Engineer at Neways in Nijmegen, you are responsible for realizing, improving, safeguarding, and developing production processes in line with agreed quality standards. You ensure stable and reliable production while continuously optimizing and expanding manufacturing capabilities.
You participate in development, industrialization, and improvement projects, document Lessons Learned and work according to safety and environmental regulations. You analyze processes and issues, prepare reports and FMEAs, implement process changes, support releases and samples, provide technical support, and make recommendations for improvements.

We expect you to bring the following:
Knowledge:
Knowledge of products and product characteristics, production processes and equipment, applied materials and raw materials, technological developments in the field, SPC (Statistical Process Control), EDS applications, cleanroom regulations, TPM (Total Preventive Maintenance), MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis), DOE (Design of Experiments), calibration of measuring equipment, and applicable standards and guidelines.
Manual dexterity:
Manual dexterity required for working with production machine hardware and software, operating inspection and measuring equipment (such as microscopes), and setting up and adjusting machines.
Education:
· HBO level with relevant work experience.
· Knowledge of production processes (gained through experience), and completion of various company training programs.
Your daily responsibilities include:
General Responsibilities:
· You ensure a clean and safe workplace.
· You monitor the quality of work and process availability.
· You execute TPM activities and manage PFMEAs for your processes.
· You respond quickly to process disruptions and provide process support.
· You set up production lines and handle their release, including at external locations.
· You propose and implement improvements based on cost-benefit analysis.
· You ensure robust processes and monitor CPKs.
· You prepare DOEs and create purchasing specifications for new machines and tools.
· You approve calibration and maintenance records.
Authority:
· You are authorized to block and unblock processes and/or machines.
· You may make controlled changes to production processes.
· You carry out improvement projects.
· You contact suppliers.
Communication:
· You communicate with suppliers, customers, the Manager Development & Engineering, Quality Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, and Operational Buyer regarding material specifications, project content, priorities, product deviations, machine breakdowns, and orders.
· You coordinate information and discuss actions to ensure smooth production processes and project execution.
