Mechanical Architect
We are looking for a Mechanical Architect with extensive experience in mechatronic and precision system design.
What can you expect?
In this role, you will work on-site at our client’s location, defining mechanical architectures and leading complex technical developments. With a broad system perspective and strong analytical skills, you ensure that mechanical solutions seamlessly integrate within multidisciplinary environments.
Your responsibilities
As an Architect Mechanics, you are responsible for the mechanical system architecture within high-tech equipment and precision systems. You define concepts, guide system integration, and ensure that solutions meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability requirements. Your strong analytical and abstraction skills allow you to oversee complex challenges while ensuring practical feasibility. You act as a technical leader and coach, supporting engineers in their development and fostering collaboration across disciplines.
What do we expect from you?
- A MSc or PhD in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
- 10+ years of experience (15+ years for a senior role) in mechatronic and precision system design
- A broad multidisciplinary orientation, understanding how mechanical designs fit within complex systems
- Strong analytical and abstraction skills, with expertise in various analysis methods
- A solid theoretical and practical knowledge of technical designs, mechanisms, and precision mechanics
- Experience with Design for Excellence (DFX), ensuring manufacturability, cost efficiency, and reliability
- Excellent communication skills, able to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
- A technical leader and inspirational coach, guiding and developing team members
