NXP Corporate Indirect Tax & Trade Compliance Department (ITTC) is seeking an experienced and highly skilled engineer who is ready for a career change and wants to join our ITTC department as an Export Control Technology and Product Classification Manager. In this role, you will report into the Senior Director Export Controls and Sanctions, and you will be co-responsible for developing and managing NXPs classification and technology access control program, ensuring compliance with global trade regulations while supporting our strategic business objectives.

This is a unique opportunity to combine technical expertise, strategic thinking, and compliance knowledge to make a significant impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage NXPs technology and product classification program and technology access control program, ensuring compliance with applicable export control regulations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including BLs, R&D, legal, and supply chain, to ensure accurate classification of products, technologies, and software.

  • Conduct technical analysis of products and technologies to determine appropriate export control classifications (e.g., ECCN, HS codes).

  • Stay up to date on global export control regulations, including changes to EAR, ITAR, and local regulations, and assess their impact on classification requirements.

  • Train and support internal stakeholders on classification processes and compliance best practices.

  • Work closely with government authorities when necessary to resolve classification inquiries.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical or scientific field.

  • 8–12 years of working experience in the semiconductor industry or a closely related field.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical information and apply it to classification decisions.

  • Strategic mindset with a proven ability to manage large-scale programs and influence cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical and regulatory information to diverse stakeholders.

  • Experience or familiarity with export controls (e.g., EAR, ITAR) is a plus but not mandatory - training will be provided.

Contract: This is a full-time position with a permanent contract. However, we are open to discuss a part-time opportunity (between 32 and 38 hours) as well.
