Do you want to be part of developing a next generation Continuous Glucose Monitoring frontend or Audio circuits in a high-end CMOS technology?
Your Team
Within the Analog Design and Verification team we define and develop smart Integrated Circuit solutions for Health applications like Hearing aids and Glucose monitoring. We are looking for a student for a 6 to 9 months internship to explore new features in one of these or adjacent applications. You will be part of the team and guided by experts in the field.
Internship/Thesis assignment
Your assignment can go in different directions, depending on your interest. In agreement with the hiring manager and lead engineer(s) your topic can be in one of following areas:
Continuous Glucose Monitoring: For the measurements done by mildly invasive patches on the human body analog frontend IC’s are needed to measure currents down to nano-ampere levels with high accuracy.
Audiocodec (Analog part) for Low Energy Audio and Hearing Aid applications. To stay competitive in this field NXP is looking for innovative solutions to bring their products to the next level; this includes characteristics like functional performance, power consumption, area and interference robustness.
Your Responsibilities
Investigate existing and possible architectures and select the most promising one.
Create a high level model including the necessary imperfections (in e.g. Matlab) for the chosen architecture to prove the performance.
Design the circuits for the chosen architecture and prove the performance in simulation.
If time allows, make a testchip to prove the performance on silicon.
What’s in it for you?
Join forces in developing IC’s according to the highest standards
Build up experience in collaborating with international teams and stakeholders
Ability to develop your engineering and communication skills
Working together with experienced members of the team
Your Profile
Master student in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
High level knowledge of Analog circuits in CMOS
