Your Role
You will contribute with both hands-on and strategic support of our country managers in managing Labor Unions and Works Councils, facilitating productive social dialogue with employee representatives, and moving forward with NXP Semiconductors’ mission.
You will be part of the HR Team, and work closely with the Leadership Team, HR, Legal, to foster a harmonious and cooperative working environment, contributing to the company's success. Your main responsibility will be to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and understanding between our management and our workforce.
You have strong leadership skills, the ability to assess different types of risk, and bring creative and effective ideas and solutions to a growing organization. You lead in a constructive way with integrity, respect, high personal standards and build personal credibility.
Your Responsibilities:
Manage and build NXP’s relationships with Labor Unions and Works Councils, employee reps, to meet the needs of the business providing strategic leadership in specific countries to address complex workplace issues, negotiate collective agreements, and promote a fair and respectful working relationship between management and employees, considering local legal requirements.
Create and implement the company's Industrial Relations strategy, and ensure alignment with business objectives and legal requirements, to enhance the company's reputation as an employer of choice and provide strategic Industrial Relations support, business partnership, thought partnership, and coaching to all levels of the organization.
Develop, implement and maintain Global Industrial and Employee Relations
Lead efforts to implement organizational changes, policy rollouts and updates, and restructuring initiatives, reorganizations, M&A impacts, while effectively communicating and collaborating with employee representatives to minimize disruptions for countries with strong ER/IR (Europe, Thailand, Brazile).
Maintain records of negotiations, regulations and collective bargaining processes
Builds processes and programs to improve workplace climate, employee relations and relationships with employee representatives.
Standardize ER processes and templates, maintain documentation and governance standards for audits, legal reviews, and internal transparency.
Support consultations, negotiations and collective processes with European works council & union interactions, ensuring compliance with EU & local labor law
Participate and lead projects as an integral member of the extended HR community and influence others within the organization, streamlining communication, tracking milestones, risks, and decision across multiple countries and stakeholders
Support negotiations with Labor Unions and Works Councils on various employment-related topics, changes in benefits and restructuring initiatives.
Draft and align communication material and ensure consistency of messaging, prepare consultation documents & presentations
Your Profile:
Bachelor or Master’s Degree in HR / Law or related field.
10-15 years of work experience in a fast paced, Global company with proven Industrial / Employee Relations experience and/or HR Business Partner roles.
Experience of supporting negotiations with Labor Unions and/or Works Councils, including partnering in the creation of new Works Councils.
Experience of building, development and maintaining Global Industrial Relations policies and procedures with specific adaptations to local needs.
Exposure to restructurings, transformations and cross-border HR initiatives.
Experience of standardizing processes and templates, maintaining documentation and governance standards for audits and legal reviews.
Demonstrated project management experience.
Experienced in learning and thriving in a constantly changing environment and cultivating relationships across teams.
Excellent communication, critical thinking, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent English; additional EU languages a plus
Location: Europe, preferably Eindhoven, Hamburg, Munich or Toulouse
