Hardware & Sensor Engineering Intern (4 months)

What will you do?
As a Hardware & Sensor Engineering Intern at Senergetics, you will support the design, refinement, troubleshooting, and simulation of PCBs for low-power IoT sensor systems.
Your tasks may include:

Getting introduced to our IoT sensor architecture and wireless communication system.

Designing and refining multilayer PCBs for sensor data acquisition and wireless transmission (Nordic MCU-based).

Optimizing PCB layout for Low power consumption, signal integrity, RF performance (BLE), and noise reduction for sensor readout.

Performing schematic design, component selection, and simulation where necessary.

Supporting RF best practices.

Reviewing designs, preparing files for fabrication, and coordinating prototype ordering.

Assembling, testing, and troubleshooting sensor prototypes.

Performing hardware validation and debugging.
Requirements:

You are currently enrolled in a master’s program in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.

You have a solid understanding of analogue and digital electronics, embedded systems, and sensor interfacing.

Knowledge of signal transmission principles and RF communication (preferably BLE) is expected.

You must have experience with multilayer PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad, Autodesk Eagle, or similar software.

Familiarity with Nordic nRF series devices, low-power system design, or battery-powered products is a strong plus.

You are analytical, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a startup environment.

Clear communication skills in English are required.

You should be based in or near Eindhoven.
