SMART Photonics
SMART Photonics is a growing open foundry specializing in InP Photonics. We support customers in telecom/datacom, medical sensing, automotive/lidar, and quantum technologies with our Process Design Kit (PDK) for photonic circuit design.
Our Finance Department (4fte) plays a key role in maintaining accurate records and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
To support our operations, we are looking for an individual to assist with general finance administration and help with subsidy-related projects. This role offers growth and a more diverse taskset in time, so ideal for an ambitious candidate willing to develop.
Finance Administration
- Assist with routine cost allocation processes in line with accounting standards and subsidy requirements.
- Process employee reimbursements and guide colleagues through the necessary procedures.
- Maintain internal records and help prepare expense reports, time entries, and subsidy usage tracking.
- Support Accounts Payable tasks by processing invoices and performing data entry.
- Help with month-end and year-end account reconciliations and assist with audit preparations.
- Ensure that financial documentation complies with IFRS and applicable regulations.
- Provide administrative support to other departments for various finance-related requests.
Subsidy Support
- Keep accurate records for subsidy projects and help prepare related documentation.
- Work alongside team members to ensure all subsidy data is correctly tracked and reported.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in accounting or financial administrative work, preferably in a commercial or manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of IFRS; familiarity with Dutch GAAP is a plus.
- Proficiency in English; Dutch language skills are preferred (For the Dutch tax system)
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to routine tasks.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Capability to manage a structured workload in a supportive, fast-paced environment.
- Some-one who likes to develop and takes initiative.
