SMART Photonics is ramping up production, and to support this growth we are expanding our Operations team. We are looking for a Cleanroom Operator with strong SPC experience, who will help bring our processes into a validated state and ensure high‑quality wafer production.

You will join a team of Operators, Technicians, Shift Leads and Shift Engineers, and will work in a 2‑shift schedule. We invest in our people from day one to build long‑term careers, so we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us.

Because our production teams work in a 5‑shift roster and this role works in 2 shifts, communication with teams in Operations and Engineering is very important.

We are currently shifting SPC responsibilities from the production teams to a new setup, so you’ll join us at an exciting moment of change! Flexibility and a structured way of thinking will help you succeed in this role.

Job Tasks

• SPC flow execution in the MES system;

• Keeping wafer production running smoothly with strong attention to detail;

• Balance processing with strict quality requirements;

• Operating complex cleanroom equipment, including measurement tools;

• Material handling, including transporting materials in the HTC;

• Part of your role includes driving materials to the University when needed (10–20% of your time);

• Supporting and maintaining a safe work environment; following instructions.

Job Requirements

• VMBO, MBO or HBO in a technical field, process technology, or VAPRO B;

• Cleanroom experience in the semiconductor or photonics industry;

• Strong SPC knowledge;

• Valid driver’s license B and ability to drive within the Netherlands;

• Flexibility to work in a 2‑shift schedule;

• Good command of English, Dutch is a plus;

• A can‑do attitude and the ability to work accurately and independently.
