Your Profile:

  • You are a highly skilled professional with a passion for applied digital security in hardware and software implementations.
  • You hold a PhD or advanced MS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • You have profound expertise in cryptography and embedded security.
  • You are an expert in side-channel and fault injection analysis and countermeasure development, with experience in physical security evaluations.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Designing, optimizing, and testing physical security architectures (hardware and software) for cryptographic implementations across all Security IP products.
  • Coordinating with Security IP product development teams for in-depth physical security assessments and countermeasure deployment.
  • Coordinating, preparing, and driving validation and certification projects of security IP products by external evaluation labs.
  • Providing consultation to R&D and management on security risk analysis of security IP products and giving input for product roadmaps.

Your Impact:

  • Improving the overall physical attack resistance of our security IP modules, mitigating known and unknown risks and threats.
  • Assisting in obtaining product security certifications, demonstrating the quality and security of our security IP products to customers.
  • Further driving the successful adoption of an overall physical security mindset in the security IP R&D teams.
  • Contributing to product development through collaborative input and valuable feedback.
  • Establishing and elevating Synopsys' market position as a leader in security IP products.

Your Qualifications:

  • A PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with over 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in digital security (hardware and software).
  • Hands-on experience with side-channel attacks and countermeasures, and fault-injection analysis and countermeasures.
  • An advanced understanding of practical cryptography and cryptographic standards.
  • Prior experience with validation and certification projects by evaluation labs.
