(Senior) Equipment Engineer

The role
As a (Senior) Equipment Engineer at XIVER, you own the performance, reliability and
continuous improvement of critical semiconductor manufacturing equipment. You take
responsibility for results, collaborate closely with colleagues, and act with a customer-
driven, entrepreneurial mindset to ensure high-quality wafer production.
Working within the Equipment & Maintenance Department, you support high equipment
availability across advanced manufacturing tools such as PVD, PECVD, Dry Etch, High-
Temperature processing, Wet Etch, Wafer Bonding, Lithography and Metrology. XIVER’s
technologies are used globally in applications ranging from IoT and automotive electronics
to biomedical innovations.
Key Responsibilities
- Own assigned equipment and systems, ensuring uptime, reliability (MTBF/MTTR)
and efficiency. - Analyze performance data and initiate improvements, upgrades and modifications.
- Develop, plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Perform root cause analyses and drive continuous improvement.
- Release equipment for production after maintenance and modifications.
- Maintain technical documentation such as PM procedures, spare parts lists and
FMEA. - Act as project owner for small tool modifications and support new equipment
introduction (IQ/OQ). - Collaborate with operations, technicians and suppliers to deliver reliable and timely
support. - Coach and support equipment engineers and technicians within your equipment
area.
What you bring
Technical
- MBO / HBO / WO degree in a relevant technical field.
- 7–10+ years of experience as an Equipment or Maintenance Engineer in a
production or service environment. - Hands-on experience with MEMS and/or semiconductor (wafer fab) manufacturing.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of vacuum systems, robotics, control systems and automation.

Collaboration
